Here's Pele! He's around 1 or 2 years old, and came to us from a rescue in Hawaii along with his brother, Hoy Hoy. The two are highly bonded, and must be adopted together, which just means double the love and double the fun! Pele is a playful, friendly fella who is patiently waiting to find his forever home. Both Bella and Smokey were due to be euthanized so we're really glad they're here with us now. Well hello there Smokey! This sassy boy is around 8 years old and came to us as he was due to be euthanized along with his BFF Bella. Smokey is a little overwhelmed with all the changes over the last few months, but really is a nice boy. Once he's in a loving, secure home we're sure Smokey will decompress and he can finally blossom into his sweet self. This fantastic floof is Furby. She's around 8 years old and came to us when her owner moved into assisted living and couldn't take her cats. Furby arrived with her BFF, Tootsie, and both are a little overwhelmed with all the changes. Furby is declawed on her front paws; although all of our adopted cats are expected to be kept indoors, this is especially important for declawed cats. Meet Clawdia! She's around 9 years old, and was brought to us when her owner was no longer able to care for her. She is a sweet and friendly lady, who would love to find her forever home where she can receive plenty of care and attention. Clawdia has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, so maintaining a high quality, hydrating diet is especially important for her. Meet Sebastian! This resilient fella is around 12 years old, and came to us when his previous home could no longer care for him. Sebastian is working through some pretty intense health issues, but remains sweet and snuggly through it all. He is seeking an attentive, intuitive adopter who will keep a sharp eye on his health, as he's in a pretty delicate state, and is going to need to be on some maintenance medications. We are confident that his medical issues can be straightened out and that he can make a strong recovery once his medical needs are being addressed. He will thrive in a gentle home with folks who'll feed him lots of healthful food (as much as he'll eat; he needs to chonk up!) and offer him as much love as he deserves!
Welcome Junior to the adoption lounge! This handsome boy is around 3 years old and came to us from another rescue group in the area looking for his furrever home. Junior was described to us as gentle and polite and indeed he is! He enjoys pets and snuggles once he's comfortable with you and is a lap cat in the making. Junior is FIV+, which isn't as scary as it sounds, but because of this and based on his preferences, he may be better suited as a single cat. Junior is currently in foster care. Here's Bindi! She's approximately 4 years old and was transferred to us from another WA shelter. Bindi is looking for a patient and understanding home who will respect her boundaries while also encouraging her to come out of her shell. She enjoys being pet and rubbing on your legs around meal time, and loves to play with wand toys. Bindi is a bit wary of new humans, but we know that she truly is a sweetie at heart who just wants to be loved and have someone give her a chance. Bindi is FIV+ and we encourage you to research this condition to see how it works in your family. Much like HIV in humans, risk of infection to other cats is small, but still needs to be considered before adopting. Bindi was a bit overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle in the lounge, so she's currently in foster care. Please fill out an application if you're interested in adopting her!
This lovely gal is called Lassie! Sweet Lassie is only four years old, but she's already been through it: she was emergency-surrendered through no fault of her own; she was very shy and fearful in the cat lounge; and then while in a foster home, she became gravely ill with hepatic lipidosis and had to have a feeding tube installed. The tube is out now, and Lassie is a brand-new cat! She has stared death in the face and come out on the other side having decided not to be afraid of anything. She is affectionate and goofy, and she absolutely loves climbing things and doing parkour.
Although Lassie has been officially pronounced healthy and discharged from medical care for her hepatic lipidosis, she will need an adopter who's willing and able to continue on with her liver support supplements indefinitely, and who can feed her raw cat food, as it's the most natural and healthful thing for her (plus, she loves it!). Lassie is a sweetheart who loves being around people, but likes having her independent times, too. She would do best in a home without small children (whether human or furry), plenty of tall cat trees and for climbing and resting on, and folks who will snuggle and play with her on her terms.
Lassie is currently enjoying a vacation from the cat lounge at a wonderful foster's home, but if you'd like to meet her, please complete an application as usual, and we'll arrange a get-together!
